The Holy Masterpiece by Ralph Wolfe Cowan
We have recently received a letter from Cardinal Dziwisz, Archbishop of Krakow Poland stating they are hoping and praying that a patron will purchase Mr. Cowan’s portrait of His Holiness, Pope John Paul II and lend or donate it to the Pope John Paul II Center in Krakow. The painting would then be hung in entrance way to the Center and would represent the centerpiece of the John Paul II biography. A representation of the painting would also be used in promotional materials developed by the Center.
Believed to have been inspired by God, this 48 inch circular portrait, painted in 1984, known as “The Holy Masterpiece” is perhaps Mr. Cowan’s greatest work. It is only fitting that this magnificent work of art should be displayed in Krakow, at the Center dedicated to the life’s work and legacy of God’s representative here on earth.
The John Paul II Center is expected to attract several million people annually upon its completion. Any person who chooses to lend or perhaps even donate this painting to the Center will receive public and prominent acknowledgement of his or her generosity in order that this gift will long be remembered.
